Using external drive frequently as alternative to internal drive?

Hi

own just installed an external easier said than done drive ( 400GB compared to 40GB internal )



I have a sizeable number of pics and work with them day by day moving them between folders , adjusting original with Adobe , positive the adjusted pic and delete the original



Many are next uploaded to online interest groups



Is this too much for an external drive to handle ??



Should the drive on the whole be used for storage rather than as an alternative to the internal drive ?

What you're doing is fine. No problem.



Just rather slower than the internal drive.

thats what external drives do best. they are built the same as internal drives for the most factor
