What is a Core 2 Quad? does it complete completely much better than a Core 2 Duo ?

CPU production has hit a wall contained by how fast they turn.

They simply are runnning out of ways to make computer CPUs faster.

SO, what they are doing in a minute, is to build in multiple CPUs on one and the same chip.

Picture two CPUs side by side (like a Core2 Duo) each doing partly the processing.

A Core2 Quad is simple 4 CPUs next to respectively other on the same chip that respectively do a quarter of the processing.

Now, that said. there are problems.

1) you inevitability Vista in decree to use it.

2) IF THE PROGRAM YOU ARE RUNNING WASNT MADE FOR MULTIPROCESSING, IT WONT DO IT! YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE A SINGLE PROCESSOR IN THERE.

Good luck.
A Core 2 Quad is just close to the name imply, Quad=4 cpu's. Check out Hardwaresecrets.com, Sysopt.com, Tomshardware.com,(and their forum OCZ), PCmag.com, for more info.
The Quad Core has twice as niggardly cores as a dual core - if you can imagine that.

They'd carry out a helluvalot better but I also reckon they'd generate a fair bit more roast, too.
Core2 Quad is a new processor chip near 4 Core2 processors inside. On a single or dual threaded application, it does not perform any better than Core2 Duo. BUT on multithreaded apps, chunky multi-tasking and symmetric multi-processing, it would be awesome. Typical Core2 Duo are 65 watters. The quad cores come in 95W, 105W or 130W variant.
