What do I entail to plug a DVD/VHS section and a Super-8 camcorder into my computer so that I can rip some movies?

I want to store some movies and expurgate home movies without have to buy Spielberg's programs. Is it possible to do this for around 100 bucks? If not, what am I looking at?

mainly, you involve a capture card.

It will come near the Pinnacle system already mentioned. Or you can buy one on its own for about $20 on ebay consequently there are heaps programs way better than Pinnacle.

Fitting it is jammy you just plug it contained by then install after plug the wires, install the program, learn the program and you are done.

Or, you can grasp a standalone recorder, easier but I'd go the PC route and suffer the initial learning curve afterwards you'll have much more flexibility.
Pinnacle Studio is the program I enjoy, it works easily and comes next to all the parts.
you obligation to have an analogue to digital decoder (1394 converter, that's waht the're technically call, i think) , connected to your computer. Depending on your PC, it may be connected through USB or 1394 port. Usually the converter has it's own softwere, but but for the free Windows Movie Maker program (if you're using Windows OS) may also be used.
Try AVS Video tool + AVS Video editor, http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/avs... , http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/avs... , AVS Video Tools is a 4-in-1 multimedia program which can convert video, rip and burn DVD.
