Connect your mouse or phones to the usb 1.1 port and your camera,external hd to the usb2 ports.



For soaring usage use the usb2 port and usb1 for low usage. By default USB is really slow.
2.0 is faster..faster still is a firewire port.....you can find pci cards for usb2.0 and firewire
